Usually happens when you have installed a new network card or updated it's driver. Follow the procedures here to fix:

before carrying out the the last (drastic) suggestion from microsoft's website...simply create a new Virtual Network from the Virtual Server Administrator console and configure it to link to the new network card. You will notice that the existing external Virtual Network points to the old network card.
Worked for me anyway!
